On Monday Dec 14, JNESO Executive Director Virginia Treacy, Labor rep Diane Grady and Local leadership met with executives at Hoboken medical center for a lengthy discussion took place about the hospitals proposed 10% pay decrease.

At this time no concessions have been agreed to and if this proposal were to be considered, Local membership would be notified of a meeting and any proposed concessions would be brought forward for a vote.

At the suggestion of Virginia Treacy, HUMC has agreed to a third party mediator to participate in trying to reach a fair and equitable compromise to the hospital’s financial situation.  Our next meeting with management will take place on Friday Dec. 18.

As a reminder thenew rate for health insurance will take place as of Jan 1, 2010 and will be reflected in the Jan. 8, 2010 pay period.
